National Football League (NFL) Schedule, Week-6

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league.It is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America. The NFL is the highest professional level of American football in the world. It consists 32 teams; they are equally divided between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).

The NFL was formed in the year 1920. At that time, it was known as American Professional Football Association (APFA). In the year 1923 it rename itself to now existing National Football League (NFL).it merged with American Football League (AFL) in 1966.

The NFL’s regular season is seventeen weeks long. The regular season starts from a week after Labor Day and runs till a week after Christmas. In the regular season each team plays sixteen games and has a bye week.

This year NFL regular season Week 6 will start on Thursday, 08 September, 2016. And the sixth week will start on Thursday, 13 October, 2016. In this week Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not taking part in any games.

The Saints are currently members of the South division of the National Football Conference (NFC) of the National Football League (NFL).The franchise was established 48 years ago, in the year 1966. Their home ground is Mercedes-Benz Superdome, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. They have won only one league championship in 2009 season. They have also won their only Conference championships in the same season and five Division championships. They have made ten Playoff appearances. The Saints have history of rivalry with Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Carolina Panthers. They also have a notable rivalry Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers.
