National Football League (NFL) Schedule, Week-5

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league.It is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America. The NFL is the highest professional level of American football in the world. It consists 32 teams; they are equally divided between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).

The NFL was formed in the year 1920. At that time, it was known as American Professional Football Association (APFA). In the year 1923 it rename itself to now existing National Football League (NFL).it merged with American Football League (AFL) in 1966.

The NFL’s regular season is seventeen weeks long. The regular season starts from a week after Labor Day and runs till a week after Christmas. In the regular season each team plays sixteen games and has a bye week.

This year NFL regular season Week 5 will start on Thursday, 08 September, 2016. And the Fifth week will start on Thursday, 6 October, 2016.  In this week Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets are resting and not playing any games.

The Colts have won Four League championships, two before the Super Bowl era and two Super Bowl Championships. They have also won seven Conference championships and sixteen Division championships. They have also made twenty-seven Playoff appearances. They have a history of rivalry with Green Bay, Detroit Lions, and Chicago Bears.

Houston Texans:

The Houston Texans is a professional football team based in Houston, Texas. The team is currently member of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). They were established as an expansion team in NFL in the year 2002. Their home ground is NRG Stadium. They have two Division championships and made two Playoff appearances. They are the youngest franchises of NFL. Their chief rivals are Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Indianapolis Colts.
